A.. J.. fucking Burnett! Hell yeah baby. i<3u

In all seriousness though.. That was a very impressing outing. I really was impressed with how he was able to handle last nights game. When the bases were loaded in the first and we already had somebody up in the pen.. I was worried. I will admit it; I was worried. But he actually pitched out of that jam (thanks to Grandy) and then was able pitch a very good ball game. He was hitting his spots.. breaking ball looked good.. Loved it.

At the time I didn't agree with Girardi's move but now that I think about it I actually am very happy he made that move to go to Soriano. He didn't want to even risk the possibility of AJ imploding and in doing so; Soriano was able to come in and finish it off. (thanks to Grandy, AGAIN)

Granderson really played a huge role in the win last night.. I don't think it's crazy to say that his play very well could have saved our season. Very impressive night for the Grandy man.

Some other good things I was able to see from this game was that even though A-rod and Tex didn't hit bombs.. They were getting the bat on the ball and starting to look like they may come around. A-rod's bat speed was picking up and they were putting the ball into play. Things are looking really good.

Oh, did I mention Jesus Montero is a bad ass? Well, he is.

Bullpen will be ready to go tomorrow night .. Nova will hopefully be able to spin another gem. Feeling good about this game.

this girardi is a dolt. he wanted so badly to be revered for his 'managerial' job by piecing this together, he forgot to just win the game. why did he take nova out? while he was fucking around with hughes, logan and now cc... nova couldve just given him the 5 innings.

it doesnt help that the best hitters this series are gardner and posada... how many times can you depend on these two guys. wheres rodriguez and teixeira? planning their golf outing?

girardis excuse... 'nova tightened up'. i doubt it... somebody earlier in the game said that once they got hughes warmed up, they didnt want him warming up a 2nd time, and they still wanted to use him... i think the dummy just pulled the trigger on it for that, and because he was so convinced he had to use cc tonight.

somebody else just said he does have a tight forearm. meh. whatever. i still call bullshit.

"benoit has given up 5 homers this year, all of them after the 7th inning"

hey, thanks for that nugget, considering i doubt hes been in before the 7th all year long.

so, now for the hypothetical question. lets say the yankees somehow tie this game in the 8th or 9th... which seems like an impossibility with the complete lack of clutch hitting from this team... who pitches the 10th and further? after all the bullshit you pulled from the 3rd to 7th inning, youre still gonna leave this season up to luis ayala and cory wade.

can we try to steal a base here immediately? if hes thrown out, you lead off with jeter in the 9th... if hes safe, one of jeters typical bloop hits ties the game.

Good series and good for the Tigers. I thought they had the advantage and they now take on the Rangers. Yankees had a great season considering they pieced together a rotation from has-beens and rookies. They had a great job and I think we have seen the last of Posada. He had a hell of a career!

That's going to be a two year countdown at least.
