alas, we'll be counting for a while.
cc opting out or not is probably the most relevant thing we're looking at now. maybe we inquire about prince to his agent after we solve that. not sure where he'd fit though, i doubt theyd move tex to 3rd or right after this long at first.
Re: ALDS: Tigers @ Yankees Series Thread
If CC opted out, I can't see him going anywhere else.
Although I'd drool over the opportunity to throw some money at him from an opposing standpoint.
As far as Prince going to the Yanks, that sure would be interesting. What about DH though?

Re: ALDS: Tigers @ Yankees Series Thread
I don't see the Yankees being in on Fielder. Sabathia is priority #1 and you know the Red Sox will drive up the price for him forcing the Yankees to make another terrible deal like Arod's. CJ Wilson should be priority #2.
Re: ALDS: Tigers @ Yankees Series Thread
No Red Sox, no Yankees. Cue the ESPN complaint department!!

i know we need sabathia and all that jazz... but you know what, fuck him. if he legit opts out and lets boston drive it up so stupid to the point of say... 8 yrs/27+ per year, we can get any schmuck to pitch great in june and july. id rather not give him an 8 year deal, where hes 290 pounds (at least) at 30, god knows what he'll be at 34, let alone 38.
as for prince... he said he wanted to play in new york. that could be just a nice marketing ploy to get the mets and yankees involved, wouldnt doubt that it is... but i cant help but wonder what hed do with that bandbox lane in right.
yea, and lets not point out the hypocrisy in me railing sabathia for being a fat fuck... yet preaching for prince fielder in the next sentence. ignore that part.
Re: ALDS: Tigers @ Yankees Series Thread
This is what, A-Rod's 4th time failing to clutch the game in the playoffs since he joined the Yankees? What goes around comes around.
Re: ALDS: Tigers @ Yankees Series Thread
Jorge even made me cry last night.
I have a horrible feeling I may see one of my pitchers in pinstripes next season.
Re: ALDS: Tigers @ Yankees Series Thread
i assume youre talking shields? i think they take a run at wilson before they give you betances for shields.
and yea, for all the shit ive talked about jorge for the last 15 years... he was the only one who looked truly hurt to lose last night. all the rest went about business as usual.
Re: ALDS: Tigers @ Yankees Series Thread
Actually, I wasn't thinking Shields....I know a lot of people think he would be the first of the rotation to go, but with soooooooo many youngsters seems to me they might need to keep one "old" man in that group as a starter. Who knows though, if an offer you can't refuse is made anyone is expendable.
Maybe I have more of an obejective eye but it didn't look business as usual to me, Jeter looked pretty down, Swish didn't look his usual happy goofy self.
