    Yankees Colon's Secret to Success

It's been revealed that Bartolo Colon had a procedure in April of 2010 where Dr. Joseph R. Purita used fat and bone marrow stem cells from Colon and injected them back into Colon’s elbow and shoulder.
It was an experimental procedure that had never been performed before, with the goal being to help repair ligament damage and a torn rotator cuff for Colon. Given Colon's results so far this season, the procedure would seem to have the potential to become prevalent in the game going forward. "This is not hocus-pocus," Purita said. "This is the future of sports medicine, in particular. Here it is that I got a guy back playing baseball and throwing pitches at 95 miles an hour."
Looks like Dr. Purita might be baseball's next savior. Colon has definitely looked sharp to everyone's surprise.

Sounds like something Joe Mauer should consider.

Apparently the doc had done this before. Only he used HGH.
This could get interesting as it could come to affect no only baseball, but all sports.

Though lead doctor Joseph R. Purita says no human growth hormones were used in Colon's procedure or similar treatments on athletes who played for the Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins, Chicago White Sox and Texas Rangers, he has used them during other instances in the past.
