Question Will Cashman Stay After 2011?

His current contract runs through this year. Will he have the desire to stay in the Bronx? Here is a story: Yankees GM Brian Cashman might want to leave Bombers and finally have a chance to be his own Boss
If he leaves, who replaces him?

I would think Cashman would like a break from the constant NY scrutiny. Not just from the fans and media but from his bosses. There might be an opening with the Angels if they continue to make shitty deals.

Who would replace him as the Yankees' GM?

I would imagine Jean Afterman, the assistant GM. I would love to see what Billy Beane could do with the Yankees resources.

Wouldnt you get tired of all the media conversations being about....

When winning: Dont they have like twice the payroll of every other team in baseball?

When losing: How the **** are they not winning with 200+ million dollar payroll?
HollywoodLeo: You and Kingdom always annoy me
"Oh, don't mind me, I'm rebuilding now" then you win at least 80 games

You're gonna get 90% criticism at any job you go to. Its part of the job. The payroll is a useless argument now anyways with the Sox so close, and other teams catching up. It was a tenporary thing.

If, and it's an if, Cashman leaves, I wonder if they do some sort of conglomerate with dumbass Levine handling a lot of the the major league stuff FA wise, Oppenheimer already does the minors scouting, Newman the farm stuff, so they'd keep that, Afterman, mostly handles leagalise stuff. I have a funny feeling it'd be Afterman in a completely GMINO type role with Levine doing most of the work (IE identifying, recruiting, etc)
