Ramiro Mendoza recovering

Ramiro Mendoza (shoulder) has begun throwing batting practice at the Yankees' minor league complex in Florida.
Manager Joe Torre said Mendoza ''could be a dark-horse surprise'' for the second half of the season.


That's good news. Maybe his charm can get us back to the WS.

If he can get healthy that could be a nice shot in the arm for the pen come August and beyond.
