    Yankees Random Yankee Rumblings

I thought I made one for this forum a long time ago.. Guess not. Either that or I just can't find it.

    Couple notes -

    • Nick Johnson looks to be done for the season with a wrist problem.

Pettitte will throw of a mound again next week sometime.

A-rod looks to be alright with the left calf strain. Sounds like he could have played today but he sat out.

Yankees put Lance Berkman on the DL with a ankle sprain and call up SS Eduardo Nunez.

Swisher hit a walk off in yesterday's game.. Was an awesome game. Joba came in and pitched pretty good yesterday too. The Yankees are the only team in the majors to not lose 4 games in a row this year.. Things are looking like another AL East pennant will be coming to NY. Got a 3 game set in Texas before going to Tampa then Baltimore. This series in Texas is going to be a fun one to watch. MLBtv is tits.

The New York Yankees’ hopes of repeating as World Series champions could have a lot to do with the outcome of a minor league playoff game.

Left-hander Andy Pettitte(notes) is scheduled to make a rehabilitation start Thursday night for the Double-A Trenton Thunder as he makes his way back from a groin injury in July.

The 38-year-old Pettitte was off to one of his best starts with an 11-2 record and a 2.88 ERA in 18 starts.

Pettitte will pitch in New Jersey against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in Game 2 of the Eastern League playoffs.

A healthy Pettitte is crucial to the Yanks’ chances, in light of the continued ineffectiveness of starters A.J. Burnett(notes) and Javier Vazquez(notes), and the recent inconsistency of Phil Hughes.

Great news.. Please come back soon Pettitte.

No timetable for when Gardner and Swish will be back.. Not good. Hopefully Tex's toe doesn't bother him to the point where he has to sit out.
