    Yankees Sox @ Yankees

Big series here.. The Sox need to take at least 3 out of 4 if they want to gain any ground on the Yankees. Its currently 4-2 right now. Papi went deep in the first for the Sox and then in the bottom of the inning Teixeira drove a breaking ball that hung out over the plate to right field driving in 2 runs. Mark's homer that he hit in the first made it 4 straight games for the Yankees hitting a 2 run home run in the first inning and Jeter has been on base for every single one of them. The Sox then got the bases loaded and Javy lost control of the strike zone. Vazquez walked a run in and then gave up a 2 run double to Scutaro. Javy should have gotten out of the inning earlier though. Lowell popped a ball up in the infield right towards the first base line. Cervelli and Vazquez both were looking to make a play on it but didn't communicate resulting in the ball landing in play and sending Lowell to first and Beltre to third. Javy then fanned the next batter which would have been out number 3. So not only did the Sox get some runs that we could have avoided but now Vazquez pitch count is extremely high at 80 pitches through only 4. Buckholz is on the mound for Boston tonight. 4-2, Sox lead as we enter the bottom of the 4th.

Vazquez gets taken out after 5.1 giving up 3 ER striking out 5 and walking 4. Not what we were looking for. He didn't have very good command and he didn't hit spots today which resulted in 2 HR. Walking in that run was horrible too. Even though the bases shouldn't have been loaded at the time it was still awful. Just wish we could have avoided the error in the 2nd in that ended up giving Boston 3 more runs. Joba came into to the game for Javy. Still 6-3 Bston after 6 innings of play.

With all due respect to the Yankees and Red Sox, I got tired of watching mercenary after mercenary come to bat and turned off the game. It was almost like watching an All Star Game from five years ago. Oh, look, Victor Martinez! Adrian Beltre! Lance Berkman!

Wasn't able to catch the game yesterday; had to work. Good victory though and hopefully A-rod will be able to play into tonights game. Looking forward to watching it tonight.

He's scared of the Red Sox. They're pushing him to Tuesday apparently.
