PA Announcer Bob Sheppard dies at 99

    "The Voice of God."

I had the pleasure of meeting Bob quite a few times. He lived just a few minutes from my house, next door to my old piano teacher, and attended my parish Church. He used to lector at Mass in the same voice you'd hear every day at Yankee Stadium. I remember one day when the Yankees lost to the Mets on a walkoff single by Matt Franco - but I was in a good mood still because that day I saw him and he showed me his Giants Super Bowl ring which was pretty amazing. Bob was a wonderful guy who nobody ever had a bad word to say about and a truly classy man. May he rest in peace.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

That's pretty cool brown. I wonder how many casual Yankees fans, new to the church, would say "Man, that guy sounds familiar."

    Definitely a PA legend. RIP.
