Melky Cabrera called up to the Show

I'm not sure if this is totally official yet, but here is the link: http://www.trentonthunder.com/releas...ase.asp#Latest

If so, good luck Melky! I think this is a bit early for him, but at least Womack won't be out there!

His promotion was also confirmed by milb.com.

Wow, surprising what his AAA numbers were like after looking at the AA ones. Although as usual AAA isn't what it used to be. Will be interesting to see if he stays hot in the majors.

He was only in AAA for 9 days, so we will see. However, it is important to note that he got off to an awful start in AA this year before rebounding. From early May on he was putting up some pretty numbers. Anyway, 1-4 tonight in his debut.

I love the kids getting a shot.

A lot of Anti-Yankee fans like to bash about our payroll and the latest surge of FA signings (2001-2004)but during our most significant run, we had a lot of home grown players.

If Pavano is to go on the DL...this is not a bad time for it.
