Yankees 5-5 - Can we actually beat the Red Sox?

4-3 Boston, bottom 6th, runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Melky just hit a ground rule double that would have probably scored Swisher had it not bounced over the fence.

Now Ramiro Pena is up with a 2-0 count...the grounds crew just put some drying agent on the mound because it's raining and Beckett slipped on the double to Melky.

The Yankees REALLY need to tie this...because it's an official game, it's raining, and they're behind.

For the second straight night, the umpire's strike zone is completely random.

And now Pena decides to extend that zone and strike out.

    ****ING HELL!

I have complete confidence in Jose Molina...failing to deliver here.

Molina is a fat and slow piece of shit. Yankees fail to score on a ground ball that I would have been safe on.

Veras gets 2 outs, amazingly enough. Time for some bullpen mix-and-match: here comes Coke for Van Every, and he'll probably stick around for Ortiz.

A couple things....one regardless of how bad Pena and Molina are at hitting you need to produce a run in a when you have men on 2nd and 3rd with one then two outs down 1. Secondly, as the super bias announcers were kind of saying, how do they not have someone they can bring in in a situation like this. It is irresponsible of the Yankees to have Pena and Molina bat in huge situations against their biggest rival.

It's getting brutal watching the Yankees not bein able to produce runs in key situations with RISP.

A 2-out double for Pedroia. Time for Ortiz to revert to his no-bat-speed self.

NESN may have the worst announcers ever btw. They just said it's tough for home runs to get out tonight because whichever Red Sox player just flew out to center field didn't hit one out. They then acknowledged the fact that there have been two home runs tonight.

Is this live topic thing new?

Another thing from this game. Joba needs to learn how to throw less pitches. Despite his dominance on the mound tonight outside the 1st inning, he just does not go deep enough into games. It's a huge problem when the bull pen is struggling.

He can try to pitch to contact, but when his stuff is that sharp, guys are just gonna straight up miss it. I'll take the 12 Ks - the first inning was really what killed him.

Coke gets the job done as Ortiz grounds out to Cano. Time for the top of the order to produce!

4-3 Red Sox after 6 and a half: Jeter, Damon, Teixeira to come up.
