    Yankees Posada to the DL

He'll be placed on the DL with a hamstring strain. No word yet on how long he'll be out or who will replace him, mainly Kevin Cash though.

Just a tremendous blow. This will really hurt the Yankees.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Hopefully Posada will be okay, but at age 37, most catchers are in breakdown mode...

    Re: Posada to the DL

According to Peter Abraham of The Journal News, folks within the Yankees' clubhouse believe Jorge Posada (hamstring) may miss up to 3-5 weeks.
Posada was placed on the disabled list Tuesday and some New York-based reporters gave him a 2-3 week timetable. Those estimates were a bit premature, it seems. Posada has a Grade 2 strain and can barely lift his leg without feeling discomfort.
Terrible news for the Yankees. First a month without Arod and now a month without Posada. Yankees might need to try and find a real suitable backup catcher.

A month without Posada could be a problem. Not to mention the team as a whole already looked listless...

yea according to espn, it was cervelli. i like the kid, good glove... never gonna be considered for an all star team on his offense or anything, but hes a capable backup. unfortunately, thats pretty much what molina is too.

Molina is strong defensively, you have that to fall back on.
