    Yankees Yankees vs. A's series

WOW! Brett Gardner just made an incredible over-the-head-falling-backwards catch at the warning track to rob Jason Giambi of extra bases. Disgusting catch. Giambi got a nice reception by the crowd.

Yeah, and now the Yankees have a good chance at scoring here in the 2nd, 2nd and 3rd, no one out.

This Andrew Bailey guy was sickkkkkkkkkkkk. He gave up a long ball in his second inning, but the kid was hitting 97-98 on the gun with great movement on his pitches. His breaking ball is also nasty. Glad I finally got to watch him pitch.

Good win for the Yankees. I can't believe they actually have a stat for most wins-saves by a starter-reliever combo. Christ.

Afternoon game today as the Yankees try to go for a 2-game sweep due to the rainout. Today's lineup behind Carsten Charles Sabathia:

    Jeter SS
    Damon LF
    Teixeira 1B
    Posada C
    Cano 2B
    Swisher RF
    Matsui DH
    Cabrera CF
    Ransom 3B

Basically the same as yesterday, except the Melkman's in there for Gardner.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

CC finally settling down, and the Yanks offense is backing him well. Close game again

Teixeira has been a brick wall for us on defense so far, it's awesome

All tied up at five. Sabathia has only one start in which he looked sharp but its still early.

He's been a fighter though, and is still eating up a decent amount of innings, so that's encouraging

Livan Hernandez ate up a decent amount of innings too.

    Re: Yankees vs. A's series

CC hasn't been THAT good. In 23.2 IP he's given up 23 hits, 13 BB, only 12 K, and 11 ER. More BB than K, same # of H as IP, and an ERA over 4 is not exactly good. He's been lucky to get away with as few runs as he has...

Livan Hernandez has 11.2 IP, 13 H, 3 BB, 7 K, 6 ER. Not great numbers, but they're VERY similar to CC right now(in half the number of starts/half the number of innings), their per 9 ratios are really similar. One of them makes 24 million, one makes 400k. Big difference in bang for buck.

Now he's sucking. He's having a tough time out there, but he's fighting. Cant keep with fighting though. He'll settle down eventually, I'm not worried
