Wang is so bad you can't even compare him to dice-K

You're right. He only won the most games in a certain 2-year span of anyone in the majors. He sucks

I don't know what it is, but Wang looks like absolute SHIT right now. If you ask me, considering there's no A-Rod right now, and Wang is pitching like crap, and Joba not really giving the innings you'd want, the Yankees need CC to avoid his early season mediocrity. Unfortunately, CC is pitching decently, but not ace-like. Burnett and Pettite have been good, but the Yankees will not get by without Joba and Wang pitching better than they are now.

Did Wang win those games or did the Yankees win them?

In 2007, in games started by Wang and the Yankees won, the Yankees scored an average 7.9 runs, and opponents scored an average 2.7 runs. In 2006, in games started by Wang and the Yankees won, the Yankees scored an average 6.3 runs, and opponents scored an average 2.6 runs. So it was a combination of both.

I think just about any major league pitcher can win 20 games if their team is scoring 6-7 runs for them every time they pitch.

Well, except for Wang this year.

Yea, and any major league offense can win any game if their pitcher holds opponents to 2.6 runs a game

Exactly. Don't specify just games that he won. Lets see the run support/runs against for his whole season. If the numbers are still like that, then it proves he was outstanding. However, the point is, this year he is pitching as bad as anyone else in the majors, if not worse.

Re: 34.50 ERA through 3 games

If you're holding a 2.60 ERA that's awesome. But you're generally still going to go up against major league pitchers with a 3-4 ERA, meaning odds are they'll have a good game against you every so often and could possibly hold your team to 1-2 runs.

If you're team's always giving you 6-7 runs that means you only need to support a 5-6 ERA to win games.

Having the 2.6 ERA was awesome, but with that kind of run support any major league pitcher worth his salt would win 20.

Thank god for rain outs!! Because of the rain out tonight, Wang will be skipped in the rotation.

I agree, he has been so bad he makes Matsuzaka look like he's been ok this season.

Wang has some residual problems left over from his foot injury, IMO. He is not driving toward the plate the way he did prior to being injured. His sinker is not sinking because of this lack of drive from his lower body, making it very easy to hit. When he is on, his sinker has a lot of bite to it and is very, very heavy. Now, it just spins and stays about thigh high.
