Yankees End 3 Game Skid

Yankees won today beating the Indians 1-0 and stopping their 3 game losing streak. Wang pitched a great game throwing seven solid innings, striking out 9 batters and only giving up 4 hits. He improves to 5-0 on the season. Melky Cabrera homered to deep left in the fifth off of C.C. Sabathia to give the Yankees their only run of the game. Sabathia is still struggling and now moves on to 1-4 on the season with an awful ERA of 7.88. Rivera came in in the 9th to finish things off and picks up his seventh save of the season. The Yankees will play Cleveland one more time tomorrow night before heading out to Detroit to play the 11-14 Tigers.

Going into the series realistically we wanted to split and w/ last night's 5-2 win the Yanks did just that. The Yanks have had a difficult start to the season w/ few off days and being on the road most of the season so far so to come out of it just 2 gamjes back in the L column and at .500 isn't too bad especially when you throw in a few key injuries, the sickness of Joba's Father and the ineffectiveness of the young starters. I think we are in good shape.
