Betemit is the natural in-house option.

Isn't Doug M. a FA?...I don't know if they plan on bringing him back, although I would be fine with it.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Out of all of our in house options, Betemit is clearly the best. It wouldn't make sense to stick Andy at 3B and take away Betemit's playing time.

Optimally, the Yankees would attempt to soften the blow of losing Alex by upgrading at 1B instead of sticking with the status quo of Duncan/Phillips/Mientkiewicz. We have been seriously lacking at 1B ever since Giambi came off his fixer-upper.

It wouldn't suprise me if Betemit ends up playing third and Paul Konerko is a Yankee next year. The White Sox are clearly on the decline, and it wouldn't suprise me to see them let Konerko go for the right package.

Cabrera would be a great choice but the only way to get him is giving up a Chamberlain or Kennedy. Cabrera would come close to getting Arod's production and he has a ring and knows how to win. I just don't see Cashman giving up that young pitching.
