Yankees Yankees have 'no interest' in Bonds

Back in the day when George Steinbrenner was obsessed with aging, one-dimensional stars, he wouldn't have been able to dial Barry Bonds' number fast enough, not after hearing the Giants are jettisoning him in the first 60 seconds after the 2007 season ends. The Boss would've considered it a perfect marriage: Bonds and his (synthetic) home run record, the Stadium's favorable right field geography and the Yankees' tradition. We would've heard plenty about that, how great players always end up in New York
But the fiery, impulsive Steinbrenner has faded into the Florida sunset. He's a near-recluse in Tampa these days, sapped of the old fire, allowing himself to be dissuaded, if not overruled, from making rash personnel decisions. And that's why the Yankees will have "no interest whatsoever" in Bonds this winter, according to one person familiar with the club's thinking.

If we signed Bonds, I would probably stop rooting for the Yankees for a year.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

And what if Bonds won a ring for the Yankees?

Why do you say that? He hasn't been proven guilty of ANYTHING!

I'll make this simple enough - if you believe Barry Bonds is innocent, you're completely naive. The evidence is so simple it's like saying 2+2=4. It's just plain obvious.

Yes I realize the evidence is there and I realize that he probably did cheat but I'm not going to completly flat out say that he is guilty because he hasn't been proven yet. Yes he probably will get proven guilty but untill then he isn't guilty.
