I'm having a feeling you hate the Yanks more than you love the Ratbirds.

And here's the problem with a lot (not all, not most) of Yankees fans. They seem to think that the Yanks are the center of everyone else's universe too. Give me a break.

Sadly enough, I've met more than my fair share of Yankee fans who believe this to be true...the Orioles are a mess right now, but I can't go as far as to predict a sweep because we're a mess too...

Ok...but it's true. The Yankees roll in more cash than any other team in all of baseball. I understand why, but what I don't understand is why they have to go use it in such a way that it makes it seem like they're bragging?

Very well said, that is what really irritates me about alot of the Yankees fan is they put there team high on this pedestal and they can do no wrong. It is very nice to see a Yankee fan that has a level head on his shoulder. Great Post. Rep

I know they haven't won since since 1983, but they also weren't spending too ton of cash and buying players left and right during there drought only to fail to win the big ones. That is the difference between most major leaague clubs and the Yankees. The other clubs try and win with what they are dealt with and a little cash and most fail. The Yankees on the otherhand have tried and tried to buy there championships and also have failed the majority of times. The is really sad.

The O's tried hard in the 90s to "buy championships" but didn't even make a WS. When we had the greatest team of this generation in 1998(and maybe greatest ever) Bal had the highest payroll that year by a signinifcant margin andthe yanks haven't bought a WS, they buil the latest dynasty from w/in. We have tried to buy them this decade but it doesn't work which is something you know as an O's fan from trying so hard in the 90s.
