- The Yankees are the first team since the 1800s to use 4 starters making their major league debut this early in the season (Kei Igawa, Chase Wright, Phil Hughes, Matt DeSalvo)
- The Yankees are the first team in MLB history to use 10 different starters in their first 30 games.
- Joe Torre is serving a one-game suspension today after Scott Proctor threw behind Yuniesky Betancourt.
