    Royals Yanks at Royals 9/4-6

The magic # is down to 18 and the last month is just a tune up for october like it was '96-'04, now it's on to KC where the Royals have been playing good baseball. our big 3 take the mound w/ Mussina making his return from the DL. The goal for sept is to have these guys healthy and ready to go for the postseason.

    The pitching matchups are:

    Wang vs. Hudson Tonight
Mussina vs. De La Rosa Tomorrow
    Johnson vs. Hernandez Wednesday

I'll be intrigued to see what Moose does on his first game back. It's been an injury riddled couple of years for him, so I hope he can come back and be the Moose he was before hand.

Wang goin for win 17 tonight. With a little luck, and a couple of losses by Santana, he can walk away with the Cy Young, but I'm not holdin my breath.

Wang didn't get the win but luckily he didn't get the L either as he left down 3-1 and eventually the Yanks were down 5-1 before a 10 run explosion in the 8th. Click the link for the box:

Why couldn't the Yankees have scored like that in the 6th for our boy Wang ? It's like they were just taking the first 6 or 7 innings off then they realized they were playing the Royals and they should never lose to the Royals so then they stepped on the gas.

Well, we need some magic in the 9th down 5-0 to the ****ing royals of all teams. How about another 10-run inning?

The Royals have been playing really well of late taking 2 of 3 from both Chicago and Minnesota. I'd like to get home field but it's not something we need, more important last night was Mussian getting back on the mound and starting to round back into form before October. click the link for the boxscore:

Nice win. Johnson had a no-hitter through 6 and Posada cracked 2 3-run dingers in an 8-3 win.

Jeter and Cano were both 2-4. We are going to have a Mattingly-Winfield situation here involving the batting title.

Jeter is just 1 pt behind mauer and he has a 17 game hit streak. Cano has a chance but it's going to be cut close the # of plate appearances he needs to qualify.

I believe you need 502 plate appearances to qualify. He should make it.

There's 24 games left and he has 408 plate appearances so he needs 94 more to get to 502 so that's just a under 4 a game, he should get there but Joe may rest some guys down the stretch so a game off here or there could impact it.
