Yanks vs. Twins 9/1-3

This is another possible playoff preview but none of the big guns are pitching for either team. obviously this series is much more important to Minny so i'd expect them to take 2 of 3.

The pitching matchups are:

Silva vs. Lidle Tonight
Baker vs. Karstens Tomorrow
Garza vs. Rasner Sunday

Yuck ! Look at those pitching matchups. That's disturbing.

Lidle pitched 2 hit, shutout ball over 6 and the pen did it's job for the most part in an 8-1 win. Click the link for the box:

I was at the Friday night game. First and foremost I was shocked that the weather held out with nothing more than a consistant drizzle. But it was an all around great game for the yanks, with 4 different guys having 3 hits and Lidle pitching 6 shutout innings.

Today's game went really well for Karstens, but the yanks didn't do shit with the bats. Karstens is really pitching well.

Tomorrow...whatever I haven't heard of either pitcher.
