Nice start for our rook last night. Comes out leading 5-3 and our pen promptly blows the game for him. Score a loss for Torre on this game. He sticks Mike Myers in to face Ibanez who had homered earlier, not until the count was 2-0 on him. Of course Myers walks Ibanez. Then he brings in Jaret Wright out of the pen and the rest is history. Villone comes in with his overworked noodle arm, courtesy of Joe, who insists he is trying to save his bullpen by throwing Wright, but with other options throws Villone for 1+ innings and Beltre hits an 0-2 meatball out for a walkoff.

Epic.

Well, Boston continues to do what they do best, and that's LOSE.

Karstens pitched well, and that's what's disappointing. We know the Yanks could have won that game. I hate having nothing in the pen. We almost need 14 pitchers.

Tonight should be a good one. Two young kids, Wang vs. Hernandez. Two totally different types of pitchers.

Wang is definetly more productive, less glamorous. The type of pitcher, who, when it comes around time for the All-Star Game, always will be passed up, but when people look at his numbers towards the end of his career, they'll remind them of Whitey Ford.

Well, the Yankees hammered Hernandez last night to the tune of 7 runs in 3.2 innings. Every Yankee in the lineup had at least a hit, surprisingly with Jeter being the last one to collect a hit in the top of the 8th. Wang was absolutely golden again going 7 and striking out 5. Would have had a shutout most likely had it not been for a blown call at first base. Our bullpen got a major rest last night with Myers going a full inning, followed by Dotel in the 9th finishing it striking out 2, which is a good sign.

The series is even at 1

The Little Unit is on the hill tonight. Hopefully he continues to be consistent for us.
