Yanks at Nationals 6/19-21

Randy pitched ok last night but again the bats failed for our 3rd straight disappointing loss and w/ a Sox win we are now 2 out. The struggling Msusina goes tonight and we badly need him to break out as we are desperate for a win.

We salvaged game 2 after Moose was hit hard again though the first 3 runs never should have scored as Burrell should have been called out on strikes but he wasn't and Moose had another rough outing thanks to a grat night from Ryan Howard- a great night UNTIL he faced Mariano w/ the game on the line and Mo got him to ground weakly to 2nd and the Yanks held on to end a 3 game skid. We need this series so a win tonight is important especially w/ Boston beating up the team we couldn't beat over the weekend.

Another 2 innings out of Rivera. His friggen' arm is going to fall off. We are so f'd pitching wise in the pen it isn't even funny.

Oh my god. A crisply pitched game by our entire staff ! Can we stop the season now ? Nice job taking 2 of 3 from Philly after losing the first. Up next a 9 game homestand.

Another 2 innings out of Rivera. His friggen' arm is going to fall off. We are so f'd pitching wise in the pen it isn't even funny.

He's on pace to throw about 10 more innings than the last 2 years which isn't good but hopefully if Dotel gets here(he's seeing Dr. Andrews today) that can save him from pitching so much. Either that or we need to make a deal, he can't continue at this pace at his age and w/ all the innings already pitched in his arm.

I have very low expectations of seeing Dotel pitch at all for us. The handwriting is on the wall as far as he is concerned.
