    Nationals Yanks at Nationals 6/16-18

The Yanks return to DC for a regular season game for the 1st time since 1971 when they played the final reg season game in RFK until the Nats briught baseball back to DC last year. The game in 1971 the Yanks were losing but were awarded the win b/c fans stormed the field and the game couldn't be finished so in the record books it was a 9-0 Yankee win even though we were down 7-5 when the game was called.

We play 15 staright against the NL East which is a bad div so we need to fatten up our record over these next 2 weeks. 10-5 minimum would be nice. The pitching matchups are:

    Wright vs. Hill Tonight
    Chacon vs. Ortiz Tomorrow
    Wang vs. O'Connor Sunday

A nice win to start the 2nd rd of interleague play. ARod continued his stellar play but lucikly Bernie picked him up in the 9th w/ a tie breaking HR en route to a 7-5 win. Farnsworth got hurt but it's not believe to be serious but should keep him out a few days. Click the link for last night's boxscore:

Horrible weekend by the yanks, blowing the 7 run lead on sat then losing on a 2 run HR in the 9th yesterday. Wang was great until the last pitch but it's hard to take positives out of 2 crushing losses.

Yeah Sunday's loss on the walk off was way easier to take then blowing a friggen' 7 run lead. That was pathetic. I almost threw up.
