Wang has his best performance of the year w/ 8 shutout innings and Mariano comes in and gets a shaky save. I never worry about Mo b/c every year he has his spells where he blows saves and just doesn't look like himslef but it's beent he whole year so far and at some point we know he has to start showing his age so I am officially worried about mariano.

anyway, we got a great pitching performance from Wang and 2 solo shots from Arod and Bernie and held on to move back into 1st place as Boston was shuout in a rain shortened loss vs. Texas.

I don't think we need anyone to replace Matsui unless he is officially out for the year and even if that was the case we still don't have to replace him. We still have plenty of O(especially when Sheff gets back) and as long as the pitching continues to come through we will be in good shape.

You have to take some positives out of Randy's perfromance, he was afwful in the 1st but did well after. Hopefully he can take that positive into his next start.
