Astros V Mets in Mets Home Opener

Two lefties clash as the Astros meet the Mets in thier home opener. Pettitte v Glavine.

Glavine struggled last time out and age may be catching up to him. This is his time for redemption but the Astros are bringing thier bats with them and a .315 batting average compared to the Mets .284. The Mets and Astros bring in a pretty good defense as they both have 2 errors so far this year. The Astros have yet to be stolen on sucessfully (4 CS) but I have the feeling that will change this series.




It will be good/bad to see Carlos Beltran again.

Ted: If you see Joel Osteen, tell him to rub some good luck on the Mets.

Good to see Mets win back-to-back games and good to see them win the home opener today.

As for Tommy G, this is his last year with the Mets in all likelihood. He hasn't really worked out which is unfortuante for him and the Mets since he is a good guy. He has been great in the clubhouse.
