Mets to announce coaching staff early this week - ESPN New York

I don't know that much about most of these guys, except for the returning coaches, and Oberkfell who's been in the organization and on the major league staff before.

My only real reaction, and the only reason meaningful enough for posting is about the return of Mookie Wilson as the first base coach. Mookie served under Bobby Valentine in the same role, and it's nice to have him back, as well as keeping at least one Championship Met voice on the staff. Since Howard Johnson will not be back as hitting coach (will likely be back in some more minor role), the Mets will ensure that they still have an '86 Met on the coaching staff, and I like that.
