Mets Mets not taking care of their players?

MLB - - FOX Sports on MSN

The Mets' track record raises such questions.
Rosenthal seems to suggest that the Mets aren't taking care of their players due to the injuries in the last 2 years. OK, that could be the case. Isn't part of the responsibility on the players, too? Also, how come no mention of the A's? A team the continues to have injury after injury the last 4 - 5 years. A team that broke their own record twice for using the DL in a season.

I think it's probably a combination of the team(s) and players not doing everything they can and/or doing something(s) wrong. You would think a team would do all they could to protect their investments, but regardless as a player they should be doing everything possible to stay healthy and maximize their earning potential because life won't end when baseball is over.

Maybe the conditions suck, like the Cleveland Browns who always have issues with staph infection.

Is Stan Conte also the athletic trainer for the Mets?

Nope. Their medical director, David Altcheck is supposedly highly regarded....don't know how this could be SO bad.
