And I've never seen Lowe look HALF as awful as he did in the 4th inning last night.
There's a reason the Derek Lowe Face was invented, for reasons much like last night.

Not as much as you think. I was against signing him for the deal that he got....but the theory remains that you'd rather a guy with 19 quality starts (and his share of games like last night thrown in) than Ollie....
I dunno, I would rather the Mets have traded for Halladay, but I'm assuming that wasn't gonna happen...
The term quality start is kinda overrated. Why would I want a guy who rarely beats the not so good teams? He's paid like a #1, he pitches like a #3 or 4. It's that simple, always has been.

Lowe sucked apprently but the Braves came out swinging in Game 2. I just hope Game 3 is a good one. However, the Braves usually don't score that often after a high scoring game.

Lowe was awful. Parnell was just as terrible. Tonight is Johan vs Kawakami....Not sure I'd bet on either team having another 8 run inning.
