    Mets GM Omar Minaya likely to wait on acquiring Julio Lugo

    Apparently the Mets are ready to sign him once Boston is on the hook for his contract. He's been rumored to have been working out at the Mets training facility in the Dominican Republic, and I guess the Mets are considered to be the favorites. Not sure he'll be a huge acquisition, but I guess adding a professional level talent can't hurt this team right now, considering we have 9 guys on the DL(plus Gary Sheffield unavailable due to injury)...

    Does anyone who's seen more of him the last few years have any thoughts on Lugo and his ability as compared to where he was a few years back?

    Good to know. I don't think I've ever paid attention to his crotch grabbing, but ever since reading Bill Simmons' mailbags....is he really that constant a grabber?
