Delgado to Miss Several Months

I understand that, but I would not give up a guy like Niese, Gee, Parnell, or Martinez for a few months of Johnson. Johnson is NOT significantly better than a combo of Tatis and Murphy. I'm sorry, he's just not. He has no power, and he's just not a big enough improvement to trade away a guy like Niese, Gee, Parnell, who will be major parts of the future for the Mets.

The great Bobby Parnell is a very solid reliever, and is not worth a decent 1B who's likely to get hurt. I just don't think he's anything special. Johnson has little power, and isn't a gold glover at 1B. He's ok, but not worth important pieces of the bullpen.

Johnson is a good fielder with great on base skills.

Please watch the Mets game from tonight. Daniel Murphy has made 3-4 gold glove caliber plays, has not made an error, and is just as good an OBP guy as Johnson. It's not worth trading a prospect the caliber of Niese or Parnell.
