There's a difference. I'm saying that he needs to move because there are better LFer's. You're saying he should move because he sucks. That's a big difference.

Manuel is not considering him an option anymore because he sucks, even when Delgado comes back. Manuel said he is no longer an option for the position, period.

No he didn't. You didn't listen to the interview, did you? The direct quote was "Murph isn't gonna be an option in left field for right now."

I read the exact quote. No "right now" was to be seen. Manuel declared the experiment over.

I don't know where you read it, but I watched the interview 30 minutes ago. Manuel said "Murphy will not be an option in LF right now". End of story. RIGHT NOW. We'll see down the road.

End of story We'll see. Like you said, no point in Murphy being out there anyway. Manuel now knows this.

We all know this. We can debate the rationale, but it doesn't matter. All that matters is going out there and trying to win. That's it.

Of course its all about trying to win. What an obvious statement! Here's another one, Murphy in LF doesn't give your team the best chance to win.

For now, you're right. If Delgado comes back strong, and Murphy can learn LF, it would.

PS: Are you watching the Mets/Dodgers game? Murphy is looking great at 1B....thank you very much.

You're not welcome because Murphy at first was never an issue, his shitty defense in LF was.

Right, but my argument that he'll be fine at 1B, and that there's no need to trade for Johnson was an issue that you disagreed with.

Oh I got ya. Just going on what the Mets are doing which is looking at Johnson and Huff.

Yes, they're looking. But I'm simply saying I would not give up that much for Johnson, because I just don't think it creates opportunities. When Delgado does come back, he'll need to play to shake the rust off. Johnson won't be happy on the bench, and Murphy will be stuck getting sent back to AAA. It just doesn't seem like the best option.

And I'm just saying it won't take much to get Johnson. Money and middle level talent, something the Mets have a lot of.

    Re: Daniel Murphy almost...

The question is if it's worth trade a Parnell or Niese for 3 months of Johnson. If Murphy plays like he has tonight, there doesn't seem to be much of a need.
