Interesting Tidbit

I heard this last night, and it's incredible to me. The NY Mets this year, have 5 wins, and 5 losses. Of their 5 losses, 4 of them were by only 1 run, and the 5th loss was by 2 runs.

To have that many 1 run games, and to have lost by no more than 2 is pretty impressive. In a lot of cases they've been forced to come from behind and just fell short, but still, to be "in" that many games literally until the end is a little bit of a bright spot. And it makes being 5-5 feel less painful....it kinda feels like this team could easily have been 8-2.

They've also won two games by 1 run, one game by 2 runs, and the other two by 4 and 5 runs. No blowouts so far.

True. It's kinda weird to be in this many close games so early in the season. But at the same time, I kinda like it...as long as we keep winning our fair share of them.

Now we have 6 losses, 4 by 1 run, 2 by 2 runs. Ridiculous.
