Tonight Victor Zambrano faces off against Brandon Webb. This could be a nice win if Zambrano can control his pitches. I am looking to Beltran or Piazza to step up their game, especially with runners in scoring position.

The Mets on Wednesday seek to find the momentum they lost after making an unsuccessful return to Shea Stadium the night earlier, when they fell, 7-0, to the Arizona Diamondbacks in the opener of a three-game series.
Victor Zambrano will take the mound for the Mets, working on six days' rest after dropping two straight decisions. Zambrano's inconsistency on the mound has prevented him from lasting longer than six innings in any of his starts this year. However, he has made it to the end of the sixth in two of his last three starts.

His opponent on the mound will be right-hander Brandon Webb, who lost his most recent start after opening the year 6-0. Webb has shown improved control this year, walking only 20 batters so far, after allowing a Major League-high 119 in 2004. Webb struggled in his only start against the Mets last season, giving up five runs, four earned, in 6 1/3 innings.

Though the Mets were unable to capitalize on several scoring opportunities Tuesday, a number Mets have been hot at the plate, most notably outfielder Mike Cameron. Cameron has hit .372 since returning from the disabled list.

Cameron has hit safely in 14 of his last 16 games, during which he has amassed 12 runs, seven doubles, a triple, three home runs and seven RBIs. He's 22-for-62 during that stretch, and he has particularly pounded left-handed pitchers in 2005, hitting .520 against lefties thus far.

Zambrano pitched another solid inning, this time very quick. LEt up a double down the line that David Wright just missed. Hopefully Piazza and Wright casn give us some runs this inning
