Red Sox at the plate: Ed Rogers hit a walk-off grand slam with one out in the bottom of the ninth to give the Red Sox a 9-5 win. Leadoff man Julio Lugo was in the middle of the action again, scoring two runs, walking and getting a hit. Kevin Youkilis went 2-for-3. Manny Ramirez was 1-for-1 with a run and an RBI.

Mets at the plate: Damion Easley clocked a three-run homer off Hideki Okajima, sparking a five-run seventh inning. Mike Carp went 2-for-4 with a double.

Red Sox on the mound: Tim Wakefield scattered four hits over three shutout innings, striking out three. Jonathan Papelbon was impressive again, notching four strikeouts over three scoreless innings.

Mets on the mound: Chan Ho Park made his debut for the Mets, giving up two hits and a run while walking two over three innings. Former Red Sox righty Aaron Sele gave up five hits and four runs in two innings of work.

Grapefruit League records: Red Sox 3-4-1; Mets 3-5.

Up next: The Red Sox will split up on Thursday, with one group staying home to face the Blue Jays and the other squad making the cross-town trip to Hammond Stadium to play the Twins. Both games begin at 1:05 p.m. ET. Curt Schilling will pitch the road game, while Kyle Snyder, battling for a roster spot, will start against the Blue Jays.

The Mets will host the Orioles at 1:10 p.m., with Orlando Hernandez taking on Daniel Cabrera.
