Mets Glavine to Retire after '07?

Barring something crazy, assuming I have a good year and I win 300 games, I’m not going to sit here and say that I won’t play. But it would take an awful lot for me to play next year, and I don’t mean monetarily. I just mean it would really have to be some unfinished business or some tremendous burning desire for me to go out there and play another year at this point." Glavine is 10 wins away from 300.
I see Glavine getting to 300+ wins this season. I would hate to see him retire but he can't play forever.

The good news for mets fans is that he will be doing it in a Mets uni. If he would have waited longer on the Braves, it is VERY possible that with the sale of the Braves, there might have been room on the budget for him. You Mets fans are lucky.

Glavine should certainly have the right to retire after he wins #300. What's left for him to accomplish in MLB? An easy first-ballot Hall of Famer.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.
