    Mets clinch NL East title

If we get another Mets-Yankees subway series, I am going to poke myself in the eye with my pencil.

That was the second-lowest rated World Series of all-time, even with the "Roger Clemens throwing a bat at Mike Piazza" storyline. No one outside of NY wants to see that.

Since that time it has been outdone by the 2002 WS and last year's WS. I think it would get much higher ratings this time(not that I care) b/c this time people would feel like the Mets had a chance unlike in 2000.

It's true, you can't really deny that the 2000 Mets were a fluke, I mean they had some key players but for the most part they relied on big hits from the unlikeliest of players (Todd Pratt anyone?) to get them into and through the playoffs, then faced a yankee team that wiped the floor with them.

This year though, they have a good shot at winning, assuming that Pedro and Glavine are in top form for the playoffs, which I honestly doubt. We'll see though, the playoffs should be interesting.

Even worse that the obnoxious Mets fans have bragging rights over you.
