Damn. I would've traded my 4th overall pick for Graham if that's all it took.

I post a trade block of Graham, crickets. I PM a couple of people, mostly lukewarm at best. Then I get a couple messages after the trade saying I probably gave up a little too much, and now this. Cognitive Dissonance to the extreme.

I guess I really will just have to PM everyone about every player I plan on moving.

We traded PM's, but Graham's name was never brought up. You wanted Guinness from me and offered Ken and other stuff, so I just passed and assumed Graham was untouchable.

And you were looking to trade the 5th pick, so I didn't expect you to do this deal for the 8th pick.

I didn't think Graham was worth Guinness so I didn't pursue that avenue. I was looking to move up/out (though once I saw the players, up wasn't so much of interest as getting another pick was) and I had Graham ranked lower than 5-8 so I figured it'd do no good offering her up for Guinness. That's my fault on making an assumption. I'd have traded her for Guinness and then gone a different direction, or traded her for 4 instead of 8 and done the same thing but such is life.

My post wasn't directly related to you, just more frustration as I try to do things "the right way" and it produces suboptimal results. Live and learn. From now on I'll offer up players and hope people don't get pissed off or insulted and stop responding as has happened a couple of times, and I hope people ask me about any players as I'll always answer even if it's with a no and a counter. Haf's good at that. We don't ever really match up, but he always gives me a short answer.

There is no "right" way. There's merely more effective ways.

Sometimes just posting a thread doesn't fall under that umbrella as much as it probably should.

I thought auction threads were effective. People bitched. I stopped doing them.

That's why you do what's effective not what makes people not bitch.

Darn it Leo... We JUST got Pandora back in the Box and now you reopen it! J/k.

Only reason I had Graham to begin with was to get out from Allen's contract before it went south (although he's retained his talents) because I thought Father Time was gaining. Graham and Foles both I never really liked but that was really all Detroit had after their trading spree of much significance at that time.

Foles immediately ended up losing stuff talent twice (once was a draft save) and the second time he went from 6 stuff to 4 stuff. I had to end up using him as a lotto ticket to move up to get Richards this year at 25 years old.
Graham was moved to get Kaep mostly (the picks were secondary value). That's why I wasn't real keen on her and 6 eye.
