Didn't see it in the lull... Not your fault. My fault, but I certainly don't think it's consistent with past MSL trading standards.

It was sitting in the trade submission forum for 8 days before I finalized it.

Every TC member had plenty of time to throw a flag.

Admittedly I thought Rajesh was still the overrated and dying guy Porter had, but instead his ratings went back up it seems. I never bothered checking in depth on this deal for that reason but I also haven't paid much attention to this place in the last X amount of weeks. So yeah, maybe we whiffed on this one but there's also more than just OM and I on the council so if it was truly egregious, someone else could have called it into question. Or even someone not on council.

He was 7-9-10 with me. Ratings wise he's better but results wise he is not

He is not worth $20mil and I had 0 dollars for extensions and fa at the time of the trade I was hoping the trade would free up some money for both....as it stands it only created a little less than $5mil in extension room....but to me this move was more of a salary dump than anything else....I had 2 offers for him and had dangle him out there for a bit more...so not too many gms out there were capable of willing to take on his salary...I got a couple of decent prospects out of it...and that's exactly what the market called for......

I like how people say it's needs to go to trade council who try to do the same thing. OM. Veto a deal for jake Taylor and then trade for him giving up less. Have a lot of stones questioning trading standards based on your past. Trades like this happen in real life. Money situations cause teams to dump players that are not living up to the value of there contract. I agree he could have got more but should he have is on him. It's not like it's a 10-10-10 26 yr old sp. he will probably get flipped for maybe something better maybe not depending on who's willing to take his contract.

Re: 2061 Trade: Detroit - San Francisco

Honestly, it's trades like this why I switched the format in the first place.

Good but overpaid players are practically untradable when we value them solely on their ability but not on their cost.

The running mantra was "they shouldn't have paid them that much in the first place", but while that may be true that shouldn't make the player untradable if another GM is willing to take on the cost.

Anyway, let's not turn this into a finger pointing argument, please.

You are full of shit regarding the Jake Taylor deals. I'm not wasting my breath further on any of your false accusations about my past. Learn OOTP enough to put together a winning record before you talk next time.

And Kingdom, if you liking his post is an agreement with his statements... that would be truly sad and disappointing.

If only my offers for Taylor were after the TC was put out to pasture...
