    I got less for him than I gave. I gave 3 first round picks +. I concede it was after the TC was abolished. I gave up more for him than the deals that were vetoed. None of them had multiple first rounders.

    Regarding this type of trade being a reason to abolish the TC... I think that is an extreme response. Is a great player with a terrible contract worth the same as a great player with a decent contract? No. Is a great player with a terrible contract worth 2 or more 2.5-3.0 prospects? No again. There is middle ground in between the two. We used to be able to find that middle ground without much difficulty.
