    2071 Cardinals Block

SP Eduard Khil - He's looking for 12.3 over 6 years. He's also had 20 wins and a sub 3 ERA in 4 of the 5 seasons. With TWO Cy Youngs. I'd want some value for him.

3B Kellan Ashby: He's got 2 years left in his deal. While I do need to cut payroll, I'm not taking a salary dump type deal. Especially after hitting 36 HRs and slugging over .500 last year.

UT Juan Carlos Ortiz: 3 years left in his deal. Same situation as Ashby. Don't expect me to just give him away either. His price is lower than Ashby to acquire.

I don't mind Khil as a rental. I have zero prospects, but have a couple of dirt cheap SP options in Borgen and Maglione to flip. Or as Andrew Friedman likes to call them, CONTROLLABLE ASSETS, BITCHES!

They are cheap options. But neither guy has the control I feel comfortable with in the rotation.
