Gotta think Heilmann would have gotten his 2nd straight GG in RF had he not missed a month. 18 assists! I can't remember for sure, but I think he might of even gotten more last year.

Martinez wins his 3rd straight Cy Young and once again pissed off LA.

    Pisses me off too.

    Martinez:

    2039: 28-6, 2.03 ERA, 292 IP, 188 K's, 1.02 WHIP
    2040: 22-7, 2.41 ERA, 276.2 IP, 172 K's, 1.04 WHIP

    Arms:

    2039: 23-8, 2.61 ERA, 276 IP, 272 K's, 1.01 WHIP
    2040: 20-8, 2.67 ERA, 279.2 IP, 225 K's, 0.99 WHIP

Ask any GM in this league who they'd want regardless of age, and they'd choose Arms.

Why? Because of the Ks? That seems to be the only thing Arms has on Martinez. Well, a slightly better WHIP as well.

Well Arms is on a worse team regular season wise than the Cardinals so that explains the better records, and I think this postseason explained itself. Arms killed the Cardinals, and Martinez got trashed in the 1 game he pitched against my horrible hitting team... lol

    Re: 2040 Award Winners

I was just going by the stats you posted.

W/L goes to Martinez, but that's the lowest value in those stats IMO due to that being a team stat

    ERA clearly goes to Martinez

IP is easily in Martinez's favor

    Arms has the Ks

    WHIP is a wash

edit: I'm not forming an opinion either way of who I'd take, for the record. I just don't see how the difference is so great that "any GM would take him" as you made it out to be.

I thought he would win too. It was surprising that it ended up being Martinez again.

Martinez won the game vs the Phillies. He's 11-1 in postseason games, worst start in his career be damned.

Arms should look at Alexander before even making an argument.

Arms had a better 2039 than Alexander, but yeah I don't know how Alexander didn't win it this year.

And also does Martinez win game 3 if he's going against Arms, or Hubbell, and not Capra?

    Re: 2040 Award Winners

Martinez was day to day 80% and beat Capra

He was supposed to start games 2 and 5. The injury held him back a day I'm guessing.
