Attention! Slight delay in league simming

I just bought a new laptop and I'm going to be in the process of trying to move the game to it.

I've been using a laptop with a broken keyboard (due to taking a beer bath) to run the game since 2014. It works fine but I have to use an external keyboard. The laptop I've been using for everything else couldn't run the game for some reason so I've had kind of an annoying setup using two laptops (one for the game and one for responding to stuff on here) for the past 3 years to do this.

At any rate, long story short I'm going to try to get it all on the new one so there's going to be a bit of a delay in the season while I move files and run test sims and what not.

I don't see it taking any longer than two weeks, if even that, but I figured I'd let you all know so you aren't left wondering.

Feel free to keep trading and other stuff in the meantime.

    Random Off-topic:

I've been here long enough to remember when Crazyeights had to reboot his league every few seasons because it was always something that happened to his computer that caused him to lose all the data. I mean, he was a nice guy (assuming his ex-Marine persona wasn't a Turn 2 account) that I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he probably had the worst luck of all sim league commissioners, but looking back, I can't help but wonder if the admins knew something the rest of us didn't.

Grats on the new computer! Thanks for the update! I just know you're trying to cool off the Expos who were on a tear last sim!

I honestly don't know about this teams viability. That's why I've not done a trade block or extension thread.

The good news: I have the game on the new computer

The wait-to-be-seen news: I'm in the process of transferring the league file and will still have to test it on the new computer.

I'm not sure if it was Windows 10 or just whatever a tech savvy buddy did with the last computer I bought but it ran ridiculously slow on that one, which is why I've been using the keyboard broken one I had prior just for the game.

So, I think to myself I may make a decision after work tonight so of course someone asks for an update right before hand so it seems more like I was prompted

To answer the question, it's running very slow on the new computer as well.

I don't really know what the deal is because all three laptops are Windows 10 but I'm trying to decide if I want to just wait three or four times as long for the sim to take place on the new laptop or just keep running it on the old one that runs it better.

    I'm leaning towards the latter.

I’ll sim Monday night one way or another.

Formal thread will be posted later in the evening when I’m not mobile.
