2059 Scrap Heap and in-season signings thread

I'm not going to sign players to 1 year contracts just so they can become free agents after I roll the season over

Well, my arbitrary rules say there's no free agency signings in the post season unless you're in the post season and you have an injury.

that's horse shit. I get bitched at for saving all my signings until right before first sim, now I wait until after the season, within the rules, and I'm still jerked around.

None of these people are remotely wanted by anyone else.

I don't know who gives a shit about you signing a lot of people right before the 1st sim, I know I don't.

I'm not going to make a big deal over useless scrubs but why didn't you sign these guys before now? They're literally of absolutely no use to you right now.

because I wanted to give everyone a chance and figured waiting till this point would head off people complaining when I do my mass post spring training signings. I didn't need them this year, but they will all be playing next year.

Going forward, I will make sure to make signings like these before the playoffs.

I let Mach get by with the signings above because they were shitty players nobody would argue for anyway and there was previously nothing in the rules for that. But going forward FA signings will be cut off once the playoffs begin unless you're in the playoffs and have an injury.

And Hooch is not availble to be signed for reasons that should be obvious.

I cut her because I wanted that not on her player history and wanted my payroll to be closer to what it will be next season. I already paid her so it doesn't count against me any further. 1 season of performance and future lower payroll (theoretically) vs. Boza for 5 more years, $5 mil, and 2 specs that boosted to studs...boy, I sure took it on that one lol.
