guess i shouldve checked my extensions post first. dont even remember making that offer.
So what is the magic formula here? Do homers and RBIs count for a lot? I see Sellers has some of these guys beat on ratings and his OPS is similar to a couple type C (Bench, Mize, Averill). I ended up sending him to AAA and he won't be a FA, but I'm just trying to understand.
After thinking about it some more, while I like my idea it's probably not fair to spring it on at the last second here. I'll give it some thought and likely incorporate it, or some form of it starting next year.
However, I do feel like Gehrig deserves something since he's not dying thus far and I've always allowed myself the eye test on this matter. As a compromise I'm bumping Gehrig down to type C and will provide a decent 4.0 or 4.5.
