Where are the comp rules laid out? I just wanted a refresher. Type A = signing team gives up their pick?

Type A you give up your 1st round pick if you pick 15-24 or your 2nd round pick if you pick 1-14.

    Probably his crappy ratings.

Carl Mays? Dude never recovered from that season-ending injury when I took over in 2044. Talent loss after talent loss and then just plain sucking.

For age, sure. But his ratings and performance hardly qualified.

    Type C 12 points? 1 point for ratings (30, 1 point is 29), 8 for quality starts (19, he had 20), 3 for whip (1.40, he had 1.39), that's 12.

Not saying Christobsl should be worth a lot but he had a dominant season for a 37 yr old and his ratings didn't go down at all. I think maybe a 3.0 for such scenarios could be considered

I'm thinking I should lower that quality start criteria. They seem easy to come by and is the only reason Mays seems to eek by assuming you have my numbers right. No way a guy with Mays ratings and generally crummy performance warrant compensation. There's a reason you balked on a cheap extension for him.

    Re: 2050/2051 Free Agency Compensation

I'd agree changing the criteria, the guy's not very good at all, just pointing out he qualified.

Wait, I mean, you can't change it! I demand my useless 3.0 prospect!
