Trendy lucks out. His offer to Cristobal wasn't even the 2nd best in terms of amount of money (all for the same number of years...)

I guess Frankie just loved Kansas City.

Alright, I give up. Provie, what do you see in Anthony Johnson that is worth 8M smackeroonies? I am literally shocked. If Slyder, JC, CJ, etc had bid this, I'd shrug it off, but what am I missing?

I wanted to make sure I got him and wasn't going to go beyond 2 years. If he were younger, I probably would have bid $4 mil x 4 years or something like that. I figured I had to bid high to get him at 2 years. It was the strategy I chose. He's not worth $8 mil, but it's a very short-term deal. If he dies, he's gone real soon. There were not many OFs below the age of 34 available in FA. I need an OF since Renz completely died and my minor league system is thin, which anyone can see.

He'll hit for contact, play solid defense, and steal bases. That's good enough for me.

By the way, Brown missed out on 7 over 4.

I see. I offered 4.65M for 2. I wanted to platoon him with Eccleston and thought the 2 together would be a satisfactory band-aid until a prospect develops. Eccleston had other thoughts about playing for Baltimore though. You have a stack of savings anyway. I get it.

I lost money last year and I'll probably lose money this year (not as much), but oh well. My window for a title in this league is closing so I needed to do something. He'll platoon with Stillman for me.

If anyone knows someone that would like to take over the Dodgers let me know. I just don't have time until after finals are over at the earliest.

Hooray for working a lot of hours here lately and completely failing to check on the league... Luckily for me though, I doudt any of the good ones would have wanted to play for San Francisco anyway...

I was actually hoping/expecting to lose on Cristobal. That's why I offered to Woodruff. Oh well.
