Disappointed at no bats but time to regage and shoot again. Can a team have any more pitching? Is it possible? Hunt probably means Arnold to the pen to extend his career until his contracts up.

Well, I don't plan on using much of mine for the rest of free agency. I'll loan you a few dollars?

I take offense to that! I basically break even at this point. Although I'm not done and with 45 mil coming off the books might as well go fro broke. Wish I would have landed a bat but they didn't want as many years as I offered. I did screw up with that 3 year deal for Lyons, that was suppose to be a 2.

Well.. had to spend money, but looks like I got my leadoff hitter in Guerrero... one more objective on offense... that will have to come via the trade route

With the way pitchers were in FA, may just have to roll with what I have in the rotation.. and hopefully the 2 callups for the bullpen improve that

I really underestimated on Guerrero. Same years, but way off on salary. And missed Marzano by 1 year.

Figured I had to go big on him being what I needed and under 30

    16M for Hunt? Holy overpay.

A big F U to Frisch for not liking my team. I had that offer beat.

Also, I hate it when the top FAs sign in the first round.

You all do realize Frisch is over his talent line, plus his stats dropped the past 3 seasons. He's a solid 2B but he's no where near 12 million. Conversely, a far superior 2B in Eddie Collins took just 5 mill a year for his last contract.

    Just saying.

I offered 8 mil and thought that was overpaying.

I agree that he's not worth 12 million. But to a team like mine, he fills a black hole, and gets me that much closer to competing. If Collins were a free agent, I would have offered him the moon(more than what I offered Frisch) and wouldn't have given a damn what anybody thought. I wish I could have had a shot at Frisch for Collins price, but that's not how this works.

When you watch others throw out ridiculous contracts year after year, you know the kind of offers you're going to have to make just to have a shot at the player you want.

I offered Frisch 10 mil for 6 years, and Hunt 4 mil for 4 years. I'm perfectly happy with who I got in round 1 though with Pearson, and Maldonado.

I offered on one guy, got one guy, and ended up overpaying based on the other couple of offers he received. Still it filled the hole at 1B and payroll is still low so I'm happy.

Understandable, being under 30 was a big seller for me.
