The Kendry and Savory contracts overshaddow my contracts, though. Thank you Zodious

Vandoren is a douchebag. I offered 4.15M for 1 and he told me it wasn't enough and signed with the Dodgers... He must love the California sun more than a real shot at a World Series ring.

I've been sitting on quite a bit of money since I took over the Devil Rays, but have yet to come across a FA worth shelling the cash out for.

Fine by me though. I'll pay the worthwhile FA's if they ever come, but until then, I'll keep plugging holes until Shocker, Williams, Pierce, Aaron, Spencer, Heilmann, Chapman, Dickey, and (insert the next two first round draft picks) are all steady contributors.

I wouldn't have spent the money if they weren't old enough to warrant 1 year contracts.

I figure I can take a see-what-happens approach as my farm continues to grow instead of sitting on my hands trying to collect a high draft pick. (That's not meant to insinuate you're tanking. Just explaining my thought process)

I'm still keeping my payroll below or at around my previous year's revenue, though. I'm not going to get stupid with it.

Didn't expect to get both Li and Vandoren but I'll take them. Li will get to a lot of balls at SS but with his Felipe Lopez arm will probably give the in game manager plenty of heartburn. I am confident with my setup and my closer, so Rivero is my usual attempt to find value in the middle innings.

Nice deal there CJ with Romo, I thought in this market with the lack of quality pitching he'd get a LOT more than what he did on a 1 year deal.

Thanks I offered a lot of guys value contracts, cause I'm starting a major rebuild, but unlike in the past I'd like to put a non-pathetic team on the field... you can rebuild with picks 3-10... don't always need #1... so just searching for values and minor league guys to fill out

I do think Romo will be a nice trade chip come deadline

What's funny about the Kendry deal is that it's more (per year) than I gave him in his last contract before he lost some talent.

I love how Hollywood is trying to make the arguments that his deals are worse than Chicago's... isn't the idea to be good at this?
