I over-estimated the SP market for sure. Thought my offer to Maldonado would be a token offer... I liked Battista better and he signs for less. Such is OOTP.
It seems like Bohorquez kind of flew under the radar. He did turn down a couple of teams, but didn't get that many offers to begin with. I expected him and Kelty to both get some $20 mil offers.

Cool, I got a couple of dudes.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

Three offers that went in and signed elsewhere where I had the better offer (Maldonado, Valenzuela, Perez.) Gonna be one of those years. Sweet.

Well that went kinda good?
Luck for more free agent frenzy spending from Toronto.
I am rich, and crazy, and have beer. Why aren't you playing here?
Babe Ruth hogs all the beer.

Wow. Both Zimmermann and Valenzula took less money to sign with the Cubs...
Pirates are pleased to welcome C Vanauken out of the blue for a 3 million $ a year decrease over a similar signing last year. What's funny is a 27 year old Vanauken signed for only 1.6 more than Jose Perez (36).
None of the pitchers liked the organization, but filling a gaping hole for a decent price that can stick there for years is nice.
I would have loved to sign Vanauken, but he was the only one who rejected listening to the Reds. (My offer was lower than yours, but also a year longer.)
Very nice pickup for the Pirates.

I'm with you there. I snagged one pitcher but he was my "oh if I don't get A, B or C... at least I'll have D" kind of an offer.

Zimmermann took less years and money to go to Chicago. Valenzuela signed for one year but wanted more years than 2. Makes sense.
Ill take Tanaka and Malave (with his low 3 career ERA) to replace Valenzuela and Karp.

Kelty has come to an absurd conclusion.
A better organization? HUH? Where else can you go and bat in a lineup surrounded by the likes of Tunstell, Cooper, and Sitz? Come be a part of Baltimore's "Murderer's Row"!!!Date: Sunday, 1/29/2037
Subject: Contract offer
FYI- Los Angeles (N) has offered me a better contract!
They offer a better organization.

Bradley Kelty
