He kept giving me the stock "you had your chance" type responses all the way up to 20,000,000 x 4

Thanks Leo. Sorry about not stating Salvatore... I overlooked the obvious. I just don't understand why he is not a Type A Free Agent. He's the second best SS in the AL and only 27, and I tried to sign him at all costs.... I don't want to belabor the point.

I try to make type A as rare as possible. I've only given it out to three people thus far and a career part-timer who's albeit having a very good season doesn't even come close to qualifying.

You'd get your type A if Stearns or Rodriguez walked (and you made the honest effort to resign)
